For your consideration is this beautiful "Mira" brand music box including 21 discs (see below for listing of discs included). Some of the music they play has virtually been lost to time.I bought this music box from an estate where the husband and wife had a private museum of Victorian era toys and gadgets, all of which were well cared for. I hope that the new owner of this music box takes as good care of it as its prior owner. A few notes on condition.
1 Music box is in overall good condition - no major knicks or gouges in the wood, same for brass on the inside. 2 The comb teeth are in good condition with little wear. 3 The "Pause" switch (the one on the edge of the brass plate) does not appear to function i. You have to just wait for it to run out of energy for it to stop playing. The switch still has some tension and may be repairable i.
It doesn't flap freely indicating to me it may just be loose rather than fatigued/broken metal, but I don't want to attempt to repair it myself. 4 The slow-fast slider works fairly well. I think that the slider is functioning normally, I just don't have any prior experience with Mira to compare to.You're a grand old flag 1166. So long Mary Song 1110.
